After a series of disappointing erotic reads I needed something that was going to settle in Juuuuust Right. Â And I knew I could rely on Cara McKenna to deliver.
Natalie is stranded in the middle bayou-nowhere after fleeing from a disastrous breakup. Â She seeks shelter in a bar, The Shivaree, where she’s immediately drawn to one of the musicians playing on stage. Â Magnetism doesn’t begin to describe it. Â Gabriel feels it as well, and when he decides he wants her, he knows his lover, Shane, is going to likely pitch a fit. Â Shane does, at first, but Natalie wins him over. Â What we get is an explosive connection between three people that surprises the reader as much as it surprises the characters.
Shivaree is a novella that delivers with some serious sensuality, as well as emotional intrigue.  Cara McKenna has become a stand-by author for me for when I need something with some spice AND substance.  If you’re looking for a quick read that will leave you flushed, Shivaree is a good place to start.
