Beautiful “If only he would keep his mouth shut he’d be perfect. A piece of duct tape would do the trick. I had some in my desk that I’d occasionally pull out and fondle, hoping someday I could put it to good use.”

Redonk Nutshell: Two opposing forces ignite a fierce attraction
Chloe Mills has worked her butt off to make a place for herself in the world. She’s in the process of earning her graduate degree and has been interning for severals years with a family-owned advertising company. The past several months have been more than trying, however, as she’s had to deal with Bennett Ryan, the youngest in the family business, and the cockiest. And hottest. Her slow simmering appreciation for him is often times diminished by her desire to kick his ass. Though Bennett could certainly hold his own – he dishes it out as much as she does, and the strange dynamic between these two has more often than not raised a few eyebrows of concern. Things take an unintended turn, however, when Bennett seduces her the office, and though both are horrified, they’re also hooked. Chloe has a serious addiction to how Bennett pushes her buttons, and Bennett…well, he has a strange appreciation for Chloe’s lingerie, so much so that he begins to keep them in a desk drawer.
Here’s the thing about Beautiful Bastard – I appreciated it for what it was: a fun romp with little to no emotional investment. Sure, there’s a romantic story in here where two people try to deny the romantic entanglement as much as possible, but this story is mostly sex. Sex sex sex…and more sex. In inappropriate places (dressing rooms and board rooms). At inappropriate times (while on dates with other people). This book is pretty much the dark inner fantasies of many women who read something like “Fifty Shades of Grey” and suddenly have discovered their own “dark” fantasies. Now, I personally don’t find any fault with this. in fact, go ahead and rock on. But if you pick up this book expecting to find something resembling an emotional whirlwind you’re going to be seriously disappointed However, if you’re looking for something to get your bedroom imagination firing, you may be a little closer to success.
I enjoyed Beautiful Bastard as one probably enjoys a one night stand – fun for what it was but likely not to be repeated.
