A Most Naked Solution by Anna Randol

Camden’s fingers shook slightly as he unlaced her stays. “How much I regretted not finishing things.”

“It’s only been a few hours.”

“I know. I will be forever grateful you rescued me in time to save most of my mental facilities.”

She tipped her head back onto his shoulder, jutting her breasts up for his view. “Only most?”

Redonk Nutshell: Investigator falls for a blast from the past that he suspects might be responsible for murder

Lord Camden Grey’s job is to uphold the law of his town. When word reaches his ear that a recent death might be linked to the wife, Lady Sophia Harding, he begins an investigation. He knows Sophia from his youth, and while he had once nursed something of a fondness for her, Camden is a straightforward and no-nonsense man who has no issues putting aside his personal feelings for business.  Sophia, on the other hand, is desperate to keep face in front of the man that she once believed she loved.  She carries a deep secret about her husband’s recent death, and she’s desperate to keep the details from emerging.

This was a sweet and emotional novella by Ms. Randol. It’s something of a prequel to the upcoming Sins of a Virgin. Though a short story, this didn’t feel like a quick read – there is a good deal of emotional investment and character development.  I very much enjoyed it. Ms. Randol is quickly establishing herself as a consistently intriguing romance writer.
